Despite his age, his versatility on the back end is of extreem value is it not? Furthermore, Marquez is only one year younger than him and Milito is only 2 years younger than him. Even if Pep doesn’t think that he should be in the starting 11, he could rotate with Pique, Chygrynskiy and Alves when they are rested unless another defender is scheduled to transfer to Barcelona. But in the end, I believe that the key lies with Pep. I don’t think Puyol is after the money, he wants a starting 11 position which is decided by Pep. He might be the one asking for a transfer if Pep decides that the starting spots go to Pique and Chygrynskiy.

Rumours are that we are giving away Puyol and Toure for Kompany and Robinho. If there is even one per cent of truth in this, then I dont know what they are thinking. I mean Robinho. He is just a crybaby and nothing else.
