Since he played in Europa and not CL qualifiers, he could be played in champions league after January. Like last season Real Madrid had the option to choose one among Huntelaar & Diarra for Champions League, they chose Diarra and totally blew it but that’s totally another topic
Heard if Arsenal do sign the Fulham defender this season , he could be eligible for Champions League for hem only after January because he played for Europa qualifications. So, that’s that. I guess it’s not gonna be an issue. It’s not like Barca are gonna be eliminated in group stage without new signings.

By the way, he can play in defense (right), left winger, right winger, and attacking midfielder. But the best he could on the left wing. All his killing crosses are by the left wing.

Hello guys,

In Turkish media, they say that Barcelona intends to sign Arda by the next season, in the mean time Galatasaray president Polat declared many times before the rumors that Arda was not going anywhere this season, and would not sign to any club popular than Galatasaray which means Arda can only sign to clubs such as Barcelona, Manu or Arsenal etc. in terms of his career plans. However, I believe Barca can sign Arda even this season if they pay a good money. Besides since Arda played for European League matches this season he won’t be able to play for Barca’s CL matches. For that reason it seems a bit difficult for Barca to sign him.

Anyhow I believe he has an impressive talent.

But Eray, as I said earlier THIS could be the only chance he would get to ever sign for Barca. If we miss out on him or he misses out on this chance I’m afraid he would never be signing for Barca, at least not in near future. Check my previous post where I explained the reasons for that. Next season onwards the youngsters would really start delivering, but this season probably not The squad is too small and we are gonna play for 6 trophies which is quite a bit, never mind the world cup next summer. Would prove to be way too much pressure on the current team if there are no reinforcements.
I am actually pretty confident on the player being a Barca quality at least for the rotation stage. Even then he will be playing a LOT this season if at all he does sign for us
I wanted to know if there were any news in Turkish media these days regarding this speculation, you know, Barca inquiring about Turan.

Yes, I can’t wait longer to see him in Ali Sami Yen, he will help us to go forward in league and Uefa Cup, not only Elano, I expect a lot from Keita, too and we already have Servet, Topal, Arda, Kewell and Baros, I think we became a pretty good team:) I hope Rijkard brings a lot to us so that we win Uefa Cup, Barça wins CL and my most beloved teams Galatasaray and Barça meet in Super Cup next year.

Rijkard tries to make him a central midfielder, wants to create his new Iniesta, I have no patience to the results, but I can tell you this makes Arda to increase his abilities in passing and team play and these will make him a greater play, a Barça-level player. We will see..

You forgot to add one more player that you guys have—> Elano. He’s gonna be a very valuable addition for you guys. I reckon his transfer to be the most out-standing buy this season, 8million to a Brazil National team starter!?!?

Arda is much better than Afalley, maybe Iniesta can be compared by Arda, Iniesta is a better passer, Arda is a better winger, side player. He would be a replacement for Henry for this year and next year he would take his position, then Barça would be a real dream team.

Arda is an important part of the team, Galatasaray, but of course every player can be sold. We have a new star Serdar Eylik (19) whose style reminds me Cristiano Ronaldo, he loves to play vertically. And of course another greatest sportsman, Harry Kewell, we have.

But Arda must be at least 30 mio euro or Henrique + 15 mio euro + Jeffren on loan, or maybe even more because Bayern Münich wants more than 60 mio euro for Ribery and Arda is not a worse player than Ribery, I know this because Ribery was our player once as you can remember:) Besides Arda has something Ribery doesn’t have, leadership… Ribery would leave Barça, if Madrid offers him more money after 2 years Barça buys him. Ribery won’t give his soul to his team, won’t fight till last minute, but I can guarantee you that Arda is the man what Barça looks for, the man with loyal and fighting spirit like Catalans, you watch his games with Galatasaray and Turkish National Team.

Arda is a very rare player, he got great talent and he is 22 and knows how to overcome diffeculty on his own.
he has many solo’s that where anded as a score or assist, for peeps that saying he should not be on a top level..you should see gs champ lg games

Great posts here! I agree with most of them, Arda is class act, and should be considered an option for that left wing position. Arda also happens to be very versatile, playing across the midfield, perfect for a club like Barca!
