Barca could sign Cesc and Robinho next year

According to Catalan newspaper “El Mundo Deportivo”, FC Barcelona are preparing to strengthen their ranks with two big name signings next summer.

Reportedly, both Joan Laporta (current Barca president) and the most likely winner of next elections (Sandro Rosell), want to sign Cesc Fabregas as their main signing for the next season. The Catalan press even went so far and claimed that Laporta struck a deal with Fabregas agent this summer.

Next big name on Barca shortlist is Robinho, currently member of Manchester City. The Brazilian was being targeted by the Catalans but the English club was unwilling to part from the player. Most recent circumstances, however, could see Robinho leave the club next year as he doesn’t seem to be favored by City’s manager, Mark Hughes.

  1. yes it is

  2. If i had something to say in who to bring in, i would look for gifted young not so known players particularly in La Liga like Mata, Banega from Valencia or Perroti from Sevilla FC e.g. .That guy Perroti is brilliant, and i’m keen to see him play against Barca. I would also continue to look out for our own talents such as Do Santos, Rueda etc.

  3. o great it seems now we are trying to turn to galaticos ourself

it is not normal for Barça to only buy superstars

  4. i hope we dont buy these players, they will probs expect to be always in starting line up which would probs cause confrentations in the team also it would cost us a ridiculous amount of money

  5. Buying Robinho would be good for our left wing attack and Fabregas would take over from Xavi when he retires. Its is not a galacticos project it is the right thing to do.Starting line ups are based on fitness and rotation.Young players are good and we have Bojan,Pedro and Jeffren. That is okay we need experienced players as well

  6. No to Robinho. Suarez wants to wear our jersey. Why not wait for him. He may not be as expensive as Robinho. Even Mata is a better option than Robinho, whose tantrums are never going to get us anywhere.

  7. Well said, Ivich. Robinho is trouble and Mark Hughes is no fool – if he is willing to sell,it is for a reason.

  8. Our opponents will not wait.Robinho has childish traits but these can be dealt with using his ego:He has to compete with Henry,Ibra and Messi in terms of performance based bonuses. His partying habits can be quelled using a Lucozade sports endorsement,a tradomedical solution to alcoholism and fan activism. But you are right Suarez is cheaper

  9. Robinho is a former madrista and a showstar! I do not understand why he can be a possible option.

  10. In my own view i think we don’t need those player rather we need good defender like chivu.for now we have d best attacking and midfielder in d whole world.

  11. I’m sure we wont sign Robinho because by the time the summer comes Pedro will have proven that he is ready to take Henry’s role. Bojan will have improved as well. As far as Cesc, If we’re lokking to buy him as a replacement for Xavi then let me tell you Xavi will still be around for another 2-3 years so Cesc will have to get used to starting on the bench more often if he wants to wear the blaugrana. I believe Jonathan Dos Santos is the future of our midfield along with Iniesta.

  12. Let’s consider the current formation that Pep uses and the current squad… If Cesc joins Barcelona, he would likely compete with Xavi and Iniesta for the one of the two attacking midfield positions, the containing midfield position is filled by another type of player. How likely is it for Iniesta to be pushed up to take Henry’s position on the left wing? Personally I think it could be done but would he be as effective as a natural left wing? If a natural left wing is a better choice, why Robinho for the obvious reasons that all of you mentioned? I would rather go with Mata or Silva , who are at a much better price. From a transactional point of view, the option of surrendering Tourre (who is considering the transfer and Busquets is ready to take his place) and Puyol (I hope they don’t do this, I love Puyol) plus money for Robinho would sound good to Hughes. On another hand, the option of surrendering Henry and Puyol plus money for Cesc would sound good to Wenger. I believe that the key would be in the amount of extra money asked by the counterparty. Lastly, is Puyol being part of the transaction absolutly necessary? Despite his age, his versatility on the back end is of extreem value is it not? Furthermore, Marquez is only one year younger than him and Milito is only 2 years younger than him. Even if Pep doesn’t think that he should be in the starting 11, he could rotate with Pique, Chygrynskiy and Alves when they are rested unless another defender is scheduled to transfer to Barcelona.

  13. ja se nadam da ce robinho i fabregas foci jer ce to onda biti prava pojacanja e ne kao Chingrinski i Maxvel koji ne ne igraju u 1. timu ali i oni su dobri za pocetak

    BRCA 4 EVER

  14. Robhino is like ronaldhino now enough said….

  15. Though, both players are gud option 4 barcelona. But pedro, bojan&do santos were ready to play.It all depends on barcelona style of play.

  16. plz if we can get somebody like pablo from valacia then i think that will be very ok. i do like his movement in the pitch.

  18. we dont need none of those players. barca is a young team still, the only one who is getting a little old is henry but barca has pedro to replace him so we’re good for at least 2 or 3 years. puyol is also getting a little old but hes a beast, he’ll last for a couple of years.

BARCA ALL DAY!!! LETS WIN THE FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP!!!!

  19. Mesi is d best player in d world!
