@jairzinho: at the moment Milito is out for certain ( don’t know when is he coming back) and even Marquez’s participation remains a question mark. Caceres is mostly on his way to Juventus. That leaves us with Puyol (30 plus, could be rotated), Pique (22) and Henrique (the rookie of the team). We need at least three strong options to fill that position. We need to strengthen our defence.

@Alyssa, i think pique is already a replacement for puyol, only one thing he cant play as a full back like puyol. Pep is also looking for a defender to partner with pique in the future, both of them are 22 so it looks perfect

@Alyssa: Puyol’s age could be one of the factors why Pep is insistent that we don’t back off. Pep also has watched him in action against Barca so he knows that what he is capable of. Must have made a good first impression.

Honestly, I was always more worried about our defence than anything else. So in a way this investment is really needed.

Along with K9, Dmitro Chygrynskiy’s signing could be another ray of hope for Barca’s future. Honestly, I have a feeling that we are again about to pay more than we would have liked to.
