Busquets: Zlatan is “very excited” about playing at FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona midfielder Sergi Busquets has spoken about the arrival of Swedish centre forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the Catalan club.
Talking at a press conference in the United States, where the club will play three preseason fixtures, Busquets explained that the presence of Zlatan has made him “very excited,” and that the Swede is “very eager to train”.
“We are pleased to have him among us,” Busquets added. “I hope that he does with us what he has already done at other clubs”.
The player spoke also about adaptation of the squad to the new American time zone and schedule, and commented that “on the plane we have already eaten according to the schedule of the USA, and it has gone very well for us”. The midfielder also added that although “we are not at 100% yet [since] we have been here almost one and a half days without much sleep,” he feels the squad can fully adapt “within a couple of days”.
FC Barcelona’s first game is against LA Galaxy on Sunday 2nd August.
