Caparros: “If Bojan is recovered I think he will play for the Selección”

Athletic Bilbao manager Joaquín Caparrós, also coach of the Spanish U20 team, has spoken today about Bojan Krkic’s situation with the Selección.

bojan fc barcelona 03 10The FC Barcelona forward did not participate in the Spain’s qualification due to injury, but this week returned to normal training with his club side. However Caparrós feels that if he is fit to play for his club then he is fit to play for his country.

“I imagine that if he is recovered he will catch an airplane and will go there,” Caparrós said ahead of his Athletic’s game against Valladolid on Sunday. “I’m convinced of it. If he has the Discharge [note], the Federation will claim it because he is an important player. If not, we can also ask Oscar de Marcos. This is clear. The World Championship is very long and he can join the second phase since the groups have been decided. I do not know the regulation, but if he is called up I imagine that he will go there”.

  1. Thats just stupid, spain needs no help and to furthur risk bojan in a spanish squad full of stars who seemed to be ok will be unfair, foolish and down right retarded.

  2. This aint the senior squad mate. The under 20 squad and bojan is an integral part of it.
