Eto:”Barca never explained why they sold me”
In an interview fro the French TV station “TF1″, Samuel Eto’o stated that the FC Barcelona coach, Pep Guardiola, never explained why he was sold to Inter of Milan. “I was expecting to be given some kind of reason why they wanted for me to leave, but I didn`t receive any”.
Speaking on his exit, Samuel Eto continued :”I accepted many things in the past and was willing to accept even more because of my love for the club but this summer was too much.”
“I would never criticize a coach if another player is better than me”, said the Cameroonian, “but what`s most important is what you show in the field and I think I deserved deserved to play every Sunday”.
Samuel Eto’o now expects to impress his new manager, Jose Mourinho. “The coach wanted me for several years. I spoke with it two or three times on telephone and afterwards it was easy for me to take the decision”, assured Eto’o.

Barca gave him a contract, yet he didnt sign wanting the same amount as Messi, which is wrong. Its not like Eto’o was earning peanuts. So Barca had a choice, sell him/trade him, while he was worth something, or wait another 6 months, when he could leave the club for free. I think Laporta, Txixi and Guardiola made a great decision in letting go of Eto’o. Eto’o will always be remembered as a legend and did brilliantly at Barca, but like all things IN LIFE, GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END. Wish Eto’o all the best at Inter, and I hope and believe, Ibra will replicate Eto’o in scoring goals. Vamos Barca!

IF YOU LOVED BARCA SO MUCH THEN WHY DIDN’T YOU EXTEND YOUR CONTRACT AND WHY DID YOU DEMAND SO MUCH MORE MONEY?
Well said omar….After winning the treble we need to change things up, so that we dont get complacent….etoo was demanding too much money and wont be worth anything next summer since he didnt accept barca’s contract offer….we got another world class striker for etoo, and one who is desperate to win the champions league too…they both will score alot of goals, but it was time for etoo and barca to move on….thanks etoo, come on ibra
PS i still think we need cover for henry, bc henry and iniesta are both injury prone…would love barca to sign aguero, but thats probably not gonna happen
