mascherano-fcbarcelona-17According to Spanish sports daily “AS”, FC Barcelona will make another bid for Liverpool`s defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano.

Barca technical director, Txiki Begiristain, made contacts with Rafa Benitez earlier this week, confirming the press speculations linking Mascherano with a move to Camp Nou.

The player’s representative, Walter Tamer, was informed of the contact between FC Barcelona and Liverpool and, reportedly, so far hasn`t met met with emissaries from Madrid. Mascherano already expressed his desire to join Barca and is now awaiting for the Catalans to make a formal bid which is expected to reach 30 million euros.
