Galliani: “We have spoken with Eto’o's camp”
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has admitted that the Italian club are interested in signing FC Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o.
The Rossoneri has returned to the Champions League and realises that its supporters are keen for the club to spend the money received from Kaká’s sale in order to strengthen the squad.
Sevilla’s Luis Fabiano and Madrid’s Klaas-Jan Huntelaar have both been linked with the Italian giants, but Galliani still recalls Eto’o, whom he has desired for several seasons.
“Eto’o? We have spoken with all [his camp] and we can not deny it,” Galliani said. “Eto’o is an important player who wants to be paid a lot of money. At the moment our aim is to level the balances”.
Referring to the high wages that Eto’o demands, Galliani commented that “there are players who seek the moon, and others who seek the sun”.
