Guardiola: “Cesc will not come”
FC Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola, has today admitted at a press conference, that the young Arsenal captain will not be signed this summer.
When asked about the possible transfer of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona, the coach said “He will not come, because Arsene Wenger has already sold Kolo Toure and Adebayor, two very important players. I do not think it is possible for Cesc to come this year, but we have to continue focusing.” Guardiola admitted that Fabregas is “an exciting player, and is also a Barcelona home-grown player, who has gained a lot of experience in London, but it is a fact that the player will play another year in England.”
Despite having made only two transfers this summer, Guardiola was not concerned about the current configuration of the team. “The market is open and there are people working on it.” he said, also assuring that there will be more signings this summer.
Guardiola also hinted of the possibility of sending Brazilian defender Henrique on loan once again, “He’s a good player in defensive and aggressive aspects, but to be a central defender in this team requires a lot of things, we will analyze and make a decision,” he concluded.
look I like pep as mutch as the all other cules but I was sure he wouldn’t come. lets just hope arsenal falls from the top four and sell him for cheap next year.
He will come when the time is right!
That´s it then. Maybe it´s for the best as Arsenal would milk us to the last euro.
He will come becuase Arsenal has so many good players like Carlos Eduardo, Rosicky, Van Persie, Nasri, and Arshavin and when they fail to win anything they’ll have to let him go.
Cesc scored two goals in yesterday’s match in which Arsenal defeated Everton 6-1. And this one was an away match! Nobody should write Arsenal off at this rate. Just like Messi believes that Barca has done a lot for him, Cesc, I feel, has similar range of emotions for Arsenal and its coach Arsene Wenger. They gave him a chance when he was what 17 or 18 and look at the progress he has made. I say he either comes next year or he doesn’t come altogether. Feels too much loyalty for the club and decides to stay on.
Buzz is, that all the drama by Laporta involving Cesc was just for himself to acquire a pre-agreement with him before the Rosell guy… But Txiki amidst all this, has nevertheless been working to try & sign other reinforcements silently. Pep’s statement yesterday is being cited as the proof for this
