Henry in, Messi out for Bilbao match

French international Thierry Henry completed the last training before traveling to Bilbao, and made the squad list for the Spanish Super Cup match at San Mames. As expected, Messi will not be traveling to Bilbao.
The Argentine, who suffered a minor injury of his left leg will not take part in the match because Pep Guardiola decided not to take any chances and wants to spare the player for the coming fixtures. Rafael Márquez, Andres Iniesta and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will also miss the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup due to injuries, whereas Henrique and Jorquera will stay in Barcelona for the technical reasons.
Barcelona squad list:
Goalkeepers: Valdés, Pinto,
Defenders: Alves, Piqué, Puyol, Muniesa, Maxwell, Abidal, Fontas
Midfielders: Toure, Keita, Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Gudjohnsen, Jeffren
Forwards: Pedro, Jonathan, Bojan, Henry

He’s still out due to his hand fracture. Some reports say that he will be fit for the Joan Gamper Trophy game against Manchester City. Others say that he might make his Barca debute against Sporting Gijon.

Damn, so Gudjohnsen is staying?

Henrique’s days are numbered! Our forward line is seriously depleted. Henry isn’t even fully fit. Things aren’t looking great for the start of the season.

Read my lips: This season will not end with the treble but al lot of trouble! This team will not be competetive!

@ Micha: I agree. Look at the options that we have here.
Goalkeepers: Valdés.
Subs: Pinto
Defenders: Alves, Piqué, Puyol, Abidal
Subs: Maxwell, Marquez , Fontas, Muniesa (Milito’s comeback isn’t confirmed yet).
We need more options here. Relying on youngsters like Fontas and Muniesa to defend three titles and to win two more is a tad too unrealistic no matter how talented they are.
Midfielders: Iniesta, Toure, Xavi,
Keita, Sergio Busquets, Gudjohnsen, Jeffren
Pep doesn’t have faith in Gudjohnsen who may leave for West Ham soon. We have Kieta and Busquets but in the likelihood that Henry gets injured (which judging by the start and his age is likely to happen), Iniesta will be the first choice to fill his position. Not Bojan. Kieta and Toure leave for African Cup of Nations in Jan. We need backup here too.
Forwards: Messi, Ibrahamovic, Henry
Bojan, Pedro, Jonathan. Let’s be honest here Bojan is the only one with experience here. We really cant let a few pre season matches to conclude that Pedro and JDS have the goods to make it into the team.
Look at Real Madrid’s line-up and I must say it makes me a tad nervous with the amount of alternatives they have. The defence is weak, but their midfield looks strong.

We only got 2 players less then last year and those 2 never played
