Mata`s father confirms Barca interest
In an interview for Catalan daily “El Mundo Deportivo”, Juan Manuel Mata`s father and an agent confirmed the FC Barcelona interest in his son.
“I`m aware of the Barca interest because I was informed of it by Valencia president, Llorente. He told me that Real Madrid is also interested but he also said that Valencia won`t consider a sale. Still, anything can happen. In football, things are changing every day. I also know that there was a joint Villa-Mata bid and that there were individual bids.”
Mata`s father also added that every player wants to play in top team and that his son is no different but did not want to go into specifics on potential move from Mestalla.
