New names on Barca shortlist
According to “El Mundo Deportivo” Cattermole, Gargano and Ledesma entered the list of potential Barca winter signings.
FC Barcelona could be entering the winter transfer market in search for another midfielder in order to fill the gaps which are to be left with absences of Yaya Toure and Seydou Keita who are set to participate in African Cup of Nations in January.
Cattermole
According to Daily Mail, FC Barcelona are keeping tabs on one of the most promising midfielders in English football, Lee Cattermole. Cattermole currently plays for Sunderland, where he arrived this summer from Wigan.
Gargano
According to reports coming from Italy, Barca have set their sights on defensive midfielder Walter Gargano from Napoli. Gargano has a contract until 2012 and is valued at 8 million euros by the Italian club.
Ledesma
Cristian Ledesma (27), who holds both Argentinian and Italian passport, has been declared transferable by Lazio over a contract dispute. Juventus, Inter and Fiorentina have been linked with the player, but are, reportedly, not willing to pay 7 million euros required by Lazio.
Barca need more offansive midfielder like Hernanes, Modric, Rakitic, Anderson, Moutinho etc.. and one winger like Lavezzi, David Silva, Theo Walcott, Di Maria etc.. we have Toure, Busquets + Marqeuz can play DM…. for defanzive, only on loan e.x. Poulsen, Vieira, de Jong or Kompany etc….
the more posibility & ideal are Hernanes or Moutinho + Lavezzi or Di Maria.
Bringing in CDM would sure help imo Keita no longer plays a DM, Busquets is giving the ball away too often for a DM, Toure is a beast but he’s leaving for ACN. May be we are better off buying a new CDM, giving Toure chance to play up-front and utilize his huge-build to try and score some goals. Also that way Iniesta would already start getting accustomed to the Xavi’s role and we’d no longer need to buy a certain mercenary called Cesc. I say go for Gojko Kacar, he’s just like Toure as in how he can play all the positions on the field with equal ease…

We don’t need a Walcott or a Di Maria who are shy in front of goal… Luis Suarez is the best option we have out there along with Mata to be the successor of Henry. The only slight advantage that Mata has over Suarez is that he’s already played top flight La Liga football for 2 years and by the time (if) we (do) sign him he’d have gained lot more experience seeing the way he’s exploding this season. But for me Suarez is more exciting player than Mata

i agree with shawn, please no englishmen on the team, gorgano is really excellent i’ve seen him a couple of times, he can be a very good addition to the team but for me, ledesma holds the adv. why?. because he is not in his national team, so he will be a club-only player. also ledesma is playing in europe since 2001 so he knows alot about euro football, not to mention that he has an exceelent long range shooting ability. after all 7mil for a world class midfielder is not a lot compared to 45 mil asked by liverpool to release mascherano (who is actually owned by kia jorbachian and noy by liver.)
Well I agree to get Christian Ladesma he is great plus you need to get Luis Suarez from Ajax or Lavezzi or Moutinho then you’ll be great….
The first guys got it spot on ,someone like Di Maria,Moutinho,Lavezzi,Hernanes,Montolivo.A young attacking midfielder to replace Henry is a must he’s getting on.
