Zlatan to be Presented on Monday at Camp Nou
FC Barcelona’s official website has confirmed that subject to a successful medical and the final details of the deal with Internazionale being confirmed, Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be presented to Barça’s fans on Monday.
Zlatan’s unveiling is expected to attract a large crowd to the Camp Nou with culés having grown restless over the summer after seeing infinite rumours of new signings amount to nothing. Although the eternal enemy in Madrid managed to almost fill their ground for the presentations of Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo, Barça fans are generally less enthusiastic about such events and it is difficult to imagine that Europe’s largest stadium will be anything near full to greet Zlatan.
The Inter striker is rumoured to be costing the Catalan side around 46m € as well as the transfer of Samuel Eto’o to the Milanese side. Alexander Hleb is also expected to move on loan to the San Siro for a year with Inter having an option to buy the out of favour Belorussian midfielder. Hleb struggled in early appearances for Barça leading to manager Pep Guardiola limiting the appearances of the player Barça had signed from Arsenal in the summer of 2008.
All being well Zlatan Ibrahimovic should make his debut for FC Barcelona during the pre-season visit to the west coast of the United States where Barça take on David Beckham’s team LA Galaxy before facing the Seattle Sounders.

i do not understand why fans get so exxcited for the unveiling of a player…. these things are not worth getting excited about, as the player has not done anything for the club yet,,

It’s important for the fans living in the city. They wont get to see any of the preseason other than the Gamper, and it’s nice for them to congregate to see the presentation of a new player.

i understand that i myself was at the Ronaldinho presentation back in 03,but i dont think we should get all our trophies out and put up a stage and firewaorks and dancers (R10 milan)

seeing a lot of fans in the stadium will give ibra the confidence and he will know that we (barca fans) trust him

Don’t worry Diego, there won’t be any stages or trophies or fireworks, just Zlatan, a football and the fans.

I’d imagine it’ll be pretty packed, definitely not to the max. capacity, but a player of Ibra’s stature and finally a “big name signing” will act as a statement of intent to madrid, which the fans will like and should be eager to show up for. I’d go just to celebrate a fantastic player joining our club.

i would argue that.. Ibra is excellent striker but MESSI is still the best player in the world!! :p
for the presentation, i think the point is to welcome the player. i dont think its necessary to have some stages, trophies or fireworks there. i never go to such presentation, i wish i can..

its just that seeing so many fans would give Ibra the confidence to perform well in Barca. thats all. but having fireworks and dancers is outrageous.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the best striker in the world. And he has come to Barcelona. As a fan of football it is a pleasure to see a star and humble man like Zlatan go to a humble club like Barcelona.
He will play with Messi and Henry in attack fed by Iniesta and Xavi. With his explosiveness Zlatan will fire goal after goal in for Blaugrana.
